Interfaces of Global Change Second Semester

Collectively, the IGC seminars produce the following key learning outcomes:

  • Advance understanding of how global challenges interact to form wicked problems requiring trans-disciplinary problem-solving approaches
  • Improve understanding & practice of interdisciplinary team science
  • Advance understanding & skills to work in the science-policy interface
  • Be able to discuss environmental justice & examples
  • Improve science communication skills

Topics for the 2nd seminar include:

  • Exploring interdisciplinary team science (e.g. interdisciplinary panel discussions about the process, challenges, and benefits of interdisciplinary research)
  • Preparation for capstone project
  • Defining the science-policy interface
